Hi, I'm Amy, and I'm so glad you’re here.

With 20 years of experience, I've worked with children and young people as an educator, youth worker, mental health and disability advocate, parent coach, and behaviour clinician.

I’m a multi-award-winning Behaviour Support Practitioner in the NDIS space since 2017, endorsed as an Advanced Specialist Practitioner. I have studied psychology, social work, disability policy, and hold postgraduate qualifications in youth work, special education and leadership.

Week 1

Week 2
Interim Planning and Safety

Learn how to assess risk and develop interim behaviour support plans to ensure safety.

Learning Outcome: Master the creation of preventative and responsive strategies to safeguard participants.


Week 3
Functional Behavioural Assessement

Understand how to complete a functional behavioural assessment to identify the triggers, behaviours, and consequences behind challenging behaviours.

Learning Outcome: Gain skills to perform tailored interventions for effective behaviour management.


Week 4 & 5
Behaviour Support Planning (Parts 1 & 2)

Develop comprehensive behaviour support plans focusing on person-centred, proactive strategies.

Learning Outcome: Create plans that build on strengths and address behaviours of concern, reducing the need for restrictive practices.


Week 6
Implementing a Plan

Learn how to put behaviour support plans into action, adapting strategies to different environments.

Learning Outcome: Implement plans effectively, train support systems, and monitor progress.


Week 7
Knowing it Works

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans.

Learning Outcome: Ensure quality of life outcomes are achieved and restrictive practices are reduced.


Week 8
Restrictive Practices

Understand the use and authorisation process for regulated restrictive practices.

Learning Outcome: Ensure restrictive practices are the last resort and used ethically and legally.

Week 9
Continuing Professional Development

Extend your knowledge and skills in delivering high-quality behaviour support services.

Learning Outcome: Develop a professional development plan and understand the importance of lifelong learning and supervision.

Week 10
Case Study and Supervision Session

Engage in a comprehensive workshop tailored to your interests and needs.
